Description

The Authority is seeking a Contractor(s) for Provision of Taxi Services. The services will be divided into the following four lots: Lot 1 – Coatbridge Lot 2 – Cumbernauld & Kirkintilloch Lot 3 – Motherwell Lot 4 – East Kilbride

Lot Division

1 Coatbridge

The services will predominately be within the Coatbridge vicinity, however historically our students are collected from and returned to Airdrie, East Kilbride, and Calderbank. This can change from each session throughout the duration of the Agreement, based on the needs of the students. Planned Hires - Standing Orders - Provision of a taxi and/or private hire service on a standing order basis (pre-scheduled taxi/private hire service) for the transportation of vulnerable groups who may include but is not limited to disabled students (The college will notify the company if the taxis require access for passengers with mobility difficulties, e.g., wheelchair access) or lone travellers, groups with special needs and their escorts, when required etc. The Contractor should note that for the transportation of vulnerable groups, a dedicated driver shall be required. Ad Hoc - Provision of a taxi and/or private hire service on an ad-hoc basis (non-scheduled taxi/private hire service), providing transportation for business related staff requirements across the Authorities accessing this Agreement.

2 Cumbernauld & Kirkintilloch

The services will predominately be within the Cumbernauld and Kirkintilloch vicinity, however historically our students are collected from and returned to Larbert, Falkirk, Airdrie and Cumbernauld. This can change from each session throughout the duration of the Agreement, based on the needs of the students. The services will predominately be within the East Kilbride vicinity, historically currently our staff are collected from and returned to anywhere across the Lanarkshire region. This can change from each session throughout the duration of the Agreement, based on the needs of the students. (This lot is for South Lanarkshire College Only) Planned Hires - Standing Orders - Provision of a taxi and/or private hire service on a standing order basis (pre-scheduled taxi/private hire service) for the transportation of vulnerable groups who may include but is not limited to disabled students (The college will notify the company if the taxis require access for passengers with mobility difficulties, e.g., wheelchair access) or lone travellers, groups with special needs and their escorts, when required etc. The Contractor should note that for the transportation of vulnerable groups, a dedicated driver shall be required. SCM RP: Section 1 SCM RP: Section 1 is the Authority's designated tool for contracted suppliers to keep up-to-date essential information on their company, which allows the Authority to get an insight into their company’s general standing, commitment to preventing modern slavery and addressing climate change, as well as their pledge to fair and decent working practices for their staff. SCM RP Section 1 - of the Supply Chain Management Tool asks questions in four areas: -Company Data -Ethical Supply Chain -Environmental Impact & Carbon Reduction -Fair and Decent Working Practices Tenderers must confirm that they will commit to completing SCM RP: Section 1 on award.
