Description
Level 3 community minor surgery service that is an alternative to hospital-based treatments offering a one stop service for appropriate minor skin surgical procedures which aims to minimise the need for follow up and redirection. Due to a current delay in the procurement timetable, it is proposed to continue service delivery through the award of a four‑month Urgent Award contract from 13th April 2026 to 31st July 2026. This will ensure continuity of care, support the safe transfer of patients, and allow sufficient time for mobilisation activities to be completed.

Other Information
This contract has been awarded under the urgent circumstances provision of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The Urgent Award was made due to unseen circumstances in the procurement process. This four month contract will ensure there is sufficient time for mobiisation of the new service for the new provider. This has been endorsed by NHS North East London Integrated Care Board (NEL ICB) on 10/04/2026 No conflicts of Interest have been identified.
