Description
Re-opening of the Care and Support at Home Framework.
Lot Division
| 1 | Day Time Domiciliary Care and Support at Home
Lot 1 is care and support delivered between the hours of 07:00 and 22:00 seven (7) days per week in accordance with the customers support plan. This may include regulated activity under a CQC registration. |
| 2 | Overnight Care
Lot 2 is overnight care which is care that is provided between the hours of 22:00 and 07:00. It can be for periodic visits or for an extended period overnight. This service requires a ‘Waking Night’ care worker who is able to provide personal care, in accordance with the customer’s support plan, as required. This may include regulated activity under a CQC registration. |
| 3 | Live-In Care
Lot 3 is live-in care which is care that is provided around the clock by one care worker or a team of carer workers where the care worker lives with the customer in their home. This provides constant assurance that the customer is accompanied to ensure safety. This service does not require the care worker to be providing personal care continuously, as part of the service is to be a constant presence to ensure the safety of the customer. It is appropriate that the care worker is provided with a bed and private area to sleep however they will be expected to wake up when the customer needs assistance. Such interruptions should not normally occur more than twice per night. |
| 4 | Rounds Provision
Lot 4 is Rounds Provision which is care that is purchased in a block and called off as and when required. The terms and conditions of this will be set out in any future mini competition/s for the round. These rounds will give priority to a provider to be awarded packages of care within the designated confines of the round. |
| 5 | Emergency Provision, Including Responses to Provider Failure
Lot 5 is emergency provision which is care that will be called off in the event of an urgent situation which may require a large-scale response. Packages may be grouped together for bidding and response times may be shortened, dependent on the requirements of the situation. The terms and conditions of this will be set out in any future mini competition/s dependent on the situation. |
