Description

Unity Schools Partnership require Contractors to join their new framework to undertake M&E Services and Construction Works. The framework is split into lots and any provider can attempt to join any of the services. The provider must always be in accordance with good industry practice so as to provide a high standard of service across the Trust for the benefit of the Trust's staff and pupils, the local community and to provide an inviting environment for visitors.

Lot Division

1 Electrical maintenance and emergency repairs

The supply of materials and labour to carry out all elements of electrical works including but not limited to all electrical works in connection with incoming supply. This includes out of hours cover 24/7 365 days. The testing for PAT testing & fixed electrical testing. Electricians should issue certificates to confirm the safety and compliance of their work within 48 hours of works being completed. Schools may require planned maintenance which the supplier shall manage with the school after an agreed call off schedule.

2 Fire Safety, Emergency lighting, Security and Life Safety Systems

The supply of materials and labour to carry out inspection, test, service, maintenance and installation of access control and automatic doors / Dry risers / fire alarm systems / CCTV & intruder alarms / wet sprinkler / fire dampening / fire control equipment including minor enabling works. Contractors should issue certificates to confirm the safety and compliance of their work within 48 hours of works being completed. Schools may require planned maintenance which the supplier shall manage with the school after an agreed call off schedule.

3 Lifts and Access maintenance and installation

The supply of materials and labour to carry out lift maintenance, inspection or specification for goods or passenger lifts including all works in connection with power, fitting of lifts, lift beams, lift rooms and testing, commissioning and certification including minor enabling works. Contractors should issue certificates to confirm the safety and compliance of their work within 48 hours of works being completed. Schools may require planned maintenance which the supplier shall manage with the school after an agreed call off schedule.

4 Plumbing, BMS, Boilers, Heating and Hot & Cold Water Systems

The supply of materials and labour to carry out plumbing and heating works including but not limited to mains water, secondary water, heating systems, foul water, internal and external works to provide services and enabling works. Contractors should issue certificates to confirm the safety and compliance of their work within 48 hours of works being completed. Schools may require planned maintenance which the supplier shall manage with the school after an agreed call off schedule.

5 Air Conditioning and Ventilation

The supply of materials and labour to carry out works to install air conditioning systems, there testing, inspection, servicing and maintenance and removal including small scale enabling works. Servicing and Inspection of systems including Legionella Testing. This includes Kitchen & Bathroom ventilation, AHU's and extract systems. Contractors should issue certificates to confirm the safety and compliance of their work within 48 hours of works being completed. Schools may require planned maintenance which the supplier shall manage with the school after an agreed call off schedule.

6 Water and Hygiene

The supply of materials and labour to carry out Legionella risk assessment and control, water sampling and analysis, water tank inspection and refurbishment. Water treatment products and equipment and training and consultancy services. Contractors should issue certificates to confirm the safety and compliance of their work within 48 hours of works being completed. Schools may require planned maintenance which the supplier shall manage with the school after an agreed call off schedule. Include management plan as part of inspection.

7 Asbestos inspection and Surveys

Asbestos removal to be carried out across school sites If chosen to provide this service you will not be able to provide the service in lot 7

9 Damp and mould Surveys

Damp surveys and treatment, dry rot survey and treatment and damp proofing including minor enabling works Contractors should issue certificates to confirm the safety and compliance of their work within 48 hours of works being completed.

11 Roofing

The supply of materials and labour to carry out general roofing repairs gutters downpipes, hoppers and to carry out more major repairs such as reroofing.

12 Drainage

To carry out general repairs to drainage systems and install new systems when required including CCTV surveying and leak detection. Clean foul tanks and carry out any repairs. Grease traps internal and external emptying cleaning and maintenance.

13 Lightning protection

To carry out annual lightning protection inspections and to supply materials and labour to carry out repairs. Contractors should issue certificates to confirm the safety and compliance of their work within 48 hours of works being completed.

14 Swimming pools

Inspections and maintenance of Swimming Pools and equipment including plant, pipework etc.

15 Swimming pool materials and supplies

Supplies required are listed on the pricing spreadsheet

16 Window Cleaning

External and internal cleaning of windows and doors on Unity sites.

17 EyeBolt and fall arrest system

Inspection and testing of EyeBolt and fall arrest systems and to carry out any repairs. Contractors should issue certificates to confirm the safety and compliance of their work within 48 hours of works being completed.

18 Kitchen equipment maintenance

School and office kitchen inspections and maintenance.

19 Kitchen equipment cleaning

Annual deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and ventilation including ducting. Information on products used in cleaning to be provided to Unity before undertaking work.

20 Building and construction small works up to £300,000

The supply of materials and labour to carry out general builders work including all of the above but not limited to such and items such as internal and external demolition, reinstatement, Playground equipment removal or installation, window and door replacement, building of walls, forming and chasing, plastering and other construction or refurbishment related works up to the value of £300,000.

21 Major Building and construction works over £300,000

The supply of materials and labour to carry out general builders work including all of the above but not limited to such and items such as internal and external demolition, reinstatement, Playground equipment removal or installation, window and door replacement, building of walls, forming and chasing, plastering and other construction related works over the value of £300,000.
