Description

Infant feeding support forms a core component of Hackney’s First 1,001 Days prevention approach, contributing to: improved maternal and infant health; strengthened parent–infant relationships and early communication; reduced health and developmental inequalities; and improved readiness for learning and Good Level of Development (GLD) at Reception.

Total Quantity or Scope

Infant feeding support is a cornerstone of Hackney’s First 1,001 Days prevention strategy. This initiative is designed to drive positive outcomes across several key areas: Health: Improving both maternal and infant health outcomes. Development: Strengthening parent-infant relationships and fostering early communication. Equity: Reducing health and developmental inequalities within the community. Education: Enhancing school readiness and supporting a Good Level of Development (GLD) by the time children reach Reception. The contract is being awarded via Process C (Direct Award) under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). Term: 2 years and 9 months, commencing July 1, 2026. Total Contract Value: £611,000.
