Description
The appointment of an operator to manage their leisure facilities for an interim period.It is the Authority's intention to award a contract (the 'Contract') for a period of two (2) years with the option for up to three (3) extensions of twelve (12) months each.The Procurement is being run under the Light Touch Regime within the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, using a procedure similar to the open procedure. However the Authority reserves the right to deviate from the formalities of the procedures given the flexibilities permitted by regulations 76 of the Public contract regulations 2015 (as amended) in the conduct of procurement for 'light regime services'.

Legal Justification
Following a Council Executive decision to grant a 15 year tenancy of Kempston Outdoor Centre to Canoe Trail Ltd, Greenwich Leisure Ltd have surrendered all responsibilities for the site and consequently their contract with Bedford Borough Council has been varied to account for this.
