Legal Justification
A contract was put in place with Laboratory Specialist Services (LSS) last year to supply and replace microbiological safety cabinets, on the basis that as the existing maintenance contractor, they have detailed, site-specific knowledge of a building with a highly complex services layout. Funding has now been granted for replacement of a further 10 cabinets, within the same environment and constraints. The works are identical in nature, and continue to rely on the same technical understanding of the existing facility.
