The interim contract has been established for an initial 6 month term from 01/04/2026 to 30/09/2026 and can be extended by up to a maximum further 6 months.

Legal Justification

The reason for the urgency was not foreseeable by and is not attributable to the relevant authority. Delaying the award of the contract to conduct a full application of the regime would likely pose a risk to patient or public safety, The Trust considers all the provisions above have been met in relation to the emergency contract established.
