Legal Justification
PSR Urgent Award to safeguard patient health. Due to failure of another provider to deliver promised services this urgent award was required to avoid a risk of patients' diagnosis and treatment being delayed.
Other Information
This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 under the Urgent Award provision. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award.This urgent requirement arose due to the failure of another provider to be able to deliver the services they had promised under a PSR contract awarded to them. Without this urgent award there is a risk to patients due to delays in treatment starting.The award decision was made by the Trust Executives and Care Group Operations Director 02/01/2026 and approved by the ICB on 07/01/2026.No conflicts of interest were identified.
