Description
Public health primary care services commissioned for the prevention of poor health and improved wellbeing outcomes. These services are demand led and are a combination of mandatory essential services that specifically respond to local population health needs. The services are: • NHS Health Check- (General Practices and Community Pharmacies) • Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (General Practices) • Condom Distribution (Community Pharmacies) • Supervised Consumption (Community Pharmacies) • HIV Rapid Testing (General Practices)
Total Quantity or Scope
Award of contract to the 33 General Practitioner practices (GPs) and 40 Community Pharmacies (CPs) in Barking and Dagenham for a period of 2 years from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2028 with the option to extend for a further 2 year period at the sole discretion of the Council. The contract is subject to the Health Care Services Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulations 2023 and the award is made under Direct Award Process A. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is £2,440,000
