Legal Justification
There are no realistic alternatives to the existing providers as Palliative and End of Life Care is currently provided in West Yorkshire by the 2 Children’s Hospices who currently deliver an Out of Hours service. This will support the ICB to meet the statutory responsibilities for an Out of Hours Palliative and End of Life Care advice and guidance service for all Babies, CYP and their families across West Yorkshire.The service provides timely, specialist palliative advice OOH to improve symptom control, reduce avoidable hospital admissions, and support people to die in their preferred place

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award.
