Award notice for a procurement for the universities Managed Operations Security Centre. We are using the NWUPC Software Licence Resellers Agreement SLRA Lot 1 Microsoft & Associated Services. The University of Salford (UoS) community encompasses over 26,000 students, 2,800 staff and 170,000 alumni who come to study, teach, and research at Salford from all around the world. The University of Salford's thriving industry-focused research is innovative, rising to the challenges and opportunities of the fourth industrial revolution. UoS has a small information security team. The team use Microsoft Sentinel as their SIEM (Security Incident and Event Monitoring) solution. There is an incumbent managed Security Operations Centre (SOC) provider augmenting the internal team and providing 24/7/365 cover, initial triage of events, advice and guidance on significant events, and maintenance and tuning of the Sentinel platform as well as targeted threat intelligence.
