Total Quantity or Scope

This is a Transparency - Intention to Award Notice - to inform market of the Relevant Authority's intention to Award a Contract under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, following the Most Suitable Provider process. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 and the Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This is a Notice of Intention to make an award and is being published in line with Regulation 12 - under The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime - PSR) Regulations 2023. The Most Suitable Provider Process was used to commission this service and award contract. The contract is for an initial 3-year period with the option to extend for a further 2 years. It is anticipated that the contract will commence on 1st September 2026. The approximate total contract value for the initial 3-year contract is £13,399,992 excluding VAT. The approximate value of the optional 2-year extension is £6,699,996 excluding VAT. The approximate total contract value for the 5-year period if the 2-year extension is exercised will be £16,812,894 excluding VAT.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 or Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by midnight on 12th June 2026. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under the PSR Most Suitable Provider process following the publication of a notice on 2nd December 2025 (ref: 2025/S 000-078789) informing of the Authority's intention to utilise the Most Suitable Provider process under the The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 to award a contract for the Provision of Outpatient Pharmacy Services.. The award criteria and weightings for this procurement was: Key Criteria: Quality & Innovation - 30.00% Key Criteria: Improving Access, Reducing Health Inequalities and Facilitating Choice - 10.00% Key Criteria: Integration, Collaboration & Service Sustainability - 20.00% Key Criteria: Social Value - 10.00% Key Criteria: Value - 30.00% The chosen provider was selected following assessment of the key criteria due to achieving the highest score across the key criteria used. Interested providers were asked to provide information against each of the key criteria for the Authority's assessment team to review. This was then followed up with each provider for any further information or clarifications required by the assessment team to be able to complete their assessment.
