Description
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (CVUHB) is looking for support for the Clinical transformation framework to deliver the Welsh Government’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy (2025–2035). The Health Board is looking to appoint a provider that has the demonstrable skills, knowledge and experience to meet the organisation’s objectives.
Total Quantity or Scope
As a result of the unique specialist support required the Health Board are proposing a direct award call off from the NHS SBS Consultancy and Advisory Service, Lot 2, in compliance with Regulation 33 of the Public Contracts Regulations. The preferred provider has significant experience in this diverse sector and has delivered similar projects in similar sized organisations and for NHS improvement. Due to the nature of this commission as a ‘Task and Finish’ initiative, with a strict commencement date of August 2025 and a completion deadline of 30th November 2025, many potential bidders were unable to meet the required timeline. As a result, only one company was able to confirm the ability to meet the commission timescales and this was Bearing Point. The Project Team conducted a thorough evaluation of Bearing Point proposed consultant and determined that it fully complies with the requirements and have all the relevant qualification to meet the HB objectives.
