Description

The University of Edinburgh (the “University”) appointed Inoapps Limited and Oracle Corporation Uk Limited in April 2019 to provide a Software as a Service (SaaS) based solution for the University’s Finance (including Procurement) and HR (including Payroll) “Core Systems” and associated services. The contract is for a period of 5 years with the option to extend four times for a period of 3 years (5 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3).

Legal Justification

Given Oracle’s proprietary technical knowledge of its products and Oracle service and development teams, along with the University’s configuration of these, it would not be possible to get such a level of knowledge or expertise from an alternative supplier. Such a change would cause significant inconvenience, delay and cost to bring another supplier up to speed on the University’s requirements, architecture and installation.
