Description
The provider is a NHS organisation, providing acute health care services including, but not limited to, Commissioner Requested Services (CRS) and specialised services. The provider is the only provider capable of delivering the services due to the nature of those health care services. The lifetime value of this contract is £6,341,856,845 (inclusive of extension provision), at £1,585,464,211 per annum. The contract term will be three years, with an option to extend for a further year at sole discretion of the Authority.

This contract award has been made following Direct Award Process A (The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Regulation 7) The lifetime value of this contract is £6,341,856,845 (inclusive of extension provision), at £1,585,464,211 per annum. The contract term will be 3 years with the option to extend for a further 1 year at the sole discretion of the Authority. The contract will start on 01/04/2025 and end 31/03/2028, if the optional extension is utilised the contract end date will be 31/03/29.

Legal Justification
The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the regulations. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Notice of Award which followed a Direct Award A process. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice meets the transparency obligations under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 in relation to the Direct Award A process.
Other Information
The contract, awarded to an NHS Organisation under Direct Award Process A, will run from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028 with a total value of £6,341,856,845 and may be extended by a further one year to 31 March 2029 at the sole discretion of the contracting authority. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award.
