Description

Public Health Medicine Optimisation and Advisory Service (PHMOAS - the Services ) will provide up to date medicines advice and guidance to the Council.

Total Quantity or Scope

The Public Health Medicine Optimisation and Advisory Service (PHMOAS - the Services ) will provide up to date medicines advice and guidance to the Council , to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines across our services, and to support delivery of our statutory responsibilities. Through the provision of pharmaceutical advice from a NHS Band 8b pharmacist, and supporting workforce to maintain the provision of a prescribing dashboard. The contract will be in place between 01/07/2026 to 30/06/2027 for a period of 12 months. This notice is confirmation of an award having been made using the Provider Selection Regime Urgent Award Process.

Other Information

This contract has been awarded under the urgent circumstances provision of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. Termination of the existing Public Health Medicines Service contract is required due to significant and unforeseen structural change, resulting in the imminent loss of service provision by the supplier. Therefore, the contracts were awarded using the urgent award procedure.
