The Common Services Agency (more commonly known as Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland)) (‘the authority') acting through its division Procurement, Commissioning and Facilities is undertaking this procurement of supply and delivery of Orthopaedic Power Tools, Bone Cement & Mixers, Pulse Lavage & Tourniquet Equipment and Consumables for use in supporting Orthopaedic surgical procedures on behalf of all entities constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (i.e. All NHS Scotland Health Boards, Special Health Boards and the Authority of other NHS Organisation established pursuant to the NHS(Scotland) Act 1978), any integrated Joint Boards established pursuant to the new Public Bodies (Joint Working) Scotland Act 2014 (collectively hereafter referred to as 'Participating Authorities’)

We require all relevant Orthopaedic Surgical Power Tools including, but not limited to, bone saws, dermatome, cutter, drill, driver, handpiece etc, for use in orthopaedic surgical procedures. These will be used in an acute setting across NHSS by suitably trained personnel. This Lot applies to both Large and small bone orthopaedic power tools but not precision tools, for which there is a separate lot.

These will be used in an acute setting across NHSS by suitably trained personnel. We require Orthopaedic Power Tools, Bone Cement & Mixers, Pulse Lavage & Tourniquets for use in acute orthopaedic surgical procedures across NHSS by suitably trained personnel. Bidders are requested to submit bids for combinations of volume commitments of Orthopaedic Power Tools, Bone Cement & Mixers, Pulse Lavage & Tourniquets products, as previously tendered in Lots 1-9, detailing additional discounts in return for combined volume commitments from the Health Boards, or from a collaboration of Health Boards. Bidders are automatically awarded to this Lot if successful in being awarded to one or more Scored Lot on the framework. The commitment and collaboration Lot allows a supplier to make any reasonable offer of a discounted pricing structure to NHS boards, in return for value or volume commitment in sum, in part, or in collaboration with other geographically local boards, for an agreed time period. NHS National Procurement supports any suppliers commitment deals through promoting offers available via internal documents to all NHS boards. Suppliers reserve the right to amend previously agreed offers, if the board-committed value or volumes over agreed time fall short. Bidders may submit any number of combinations up to 100% of all Orthopaedic Power Tools, Bone Cement & Mixers, Pulse Lavage & Tourniquets Market Share for 1 health board, and/or All of Scotland. Bidders are requested to submit offers related to the Service & maintenance of products previously tendered in Lots 1-9, detailing service levels, maintenance schedules and eligibility requirements, including any available discounts. Bidders are automatically awarded to this Lot if successful in being awarded to one or more Scored Lot on the framework. Bidders may submit any number of service &/ or maintenance plans for consideration as long as these are related to the Framework and awarded scored lots. PLEASE NOTE: This is an Unscored Lot. Boards will use the information provided here by all awarded suppliers to assess their local clinical requirements.

12 Innovation Lot (Unscored)

Innovation Lot (unscored). Suppliers are automatically awarded to this Lot if successful in being awarded to one or more of Scored Lots on the framework.
