Description

The National Supervised Toothbrushing Scheme is a public health initiative designed to improve children's oral health by ensuring that young children brush their teeth daily with fluoride toothpaste under supervision in early years settings and schools. Programmes are typically targeted at areas with higher levels of dental decay and health inequalities. Suffolk Public Health is required to deliver the scheme as part of their statutory responsibility for oral health improvement, including commissioning and coordinating local delivery in schools and settings. The contract period is 1st November 2026 to 31st October 2028 with an option to extend for up to a further 1 year. This Contract Notice follows on from the Prior Information Notice (2026/S 000-056161) published on 15th June 2026.

Total Quantity or Scope

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Contract Notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. A Preliminary Market Engagement Virtual Event was held on 29th June 2026 at 11am - 12pm and PowerPoint slides from the event will be shared as part of the tender pack.
