Legal Justification
This contract is used by 15 Local Authorities across the South West who all take turns to procure a 3 year contract. Somerset's contract is coming to an end but the next authority who was undertaking a procurement for the next 3 year contract were unable to award and therefore need additional time to re-run the process.
Other Information
The contract has been extended by 6 months due to reasons outside the control of Somerset Council which could not have been foreseen.
