Description

Project agreement for shared investment in building improvement works and lease assignment requiring the provision of a public leisure centre.

Total Quantity or Scope

The Council is currently under Contract with Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL, trading as Better) to operate our Leisure Centres (Albany Leisure Centre, Edmonton Leisure Centre, Southbury Leisure Centre, and Southgate Leisure Centre), along with Arnos Pool and Bramley Bowls Centre. Edmonton Leisure Centre is in need of urgent works to restore the building. The Council has directly awarded this provision to GLL for the works to be funded in part by the Council and in part by GLL, and assign the lease to GLL on condition that GLL provides a public leisure centre. Given this will be treated as a separate entity, Enfield will be removing the Centre from the aforementioned list. The other leisure centres will be subject to a full procurement exercise, with interested parties encouraged to engage in a forthcoming market engagement exercise shortly.
