Description
The procurement, using the Crown Commercial Service RM6100 Technology Services 3 framework, was concluded in May 2024. The scope of the procurement included redesign and replacement of the Board's main converged infrastructure platform, which hosts clinical and business IT systems and data, with a new integrated compute, network, and storage platform built on hardware-based virtualisation. Approximately 10% annual growth was envisaged. The contract also included managed services for the ongoing support of the platform.

Indicators
- Contract modified due to additional needs.
Legal Justification
The additional supplies have become necessary to ensure continuity and performance of the existing infrastructure. The additional equipment must be sourced from the original contractor for technical and interoperability reasons as a change of supplier would cause significant inconvenience, duplication of cost and technical compatibility risks. The modification does not alter the overall nature of the contract, which remains a converged infrastructure and managed‑service solution based on the Dell PowerStore platform.
