Description
Hospices provide specialist end-of-life care for patients in our region. All Hospices hold a current agreement with the ICB and as they own their own estates and facilities, no other provider could be considered for hospice end of life care. Therefore, Direct Award A is considered appropriate

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB has awarded a one year contract via Direct Award A to Marie Curie for the delivery of hospice services within Liverpool. On the 18th of November 2025 the Finance, Investment, Resources Committee approved this decision and there were no declarations of interest made by members that would materially or adversely impact on matters requiring discussion and decision. The decision to award was made in line with the conflict of interest policy.
