Legal Justification
Responses to the Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) conducted during Q1 2025 indicated that suppliers would require between one and three months to mobilise for delivery of this contract. Therefore, extending the current contract will mitigate significant operational disruption, as well as avoid unnecessary duplication of costs for the Customer. The original value of the contract was £148,533 with the extension costing £35,000 (approximately 24%), representing less than 50% of the original contract value.
