Legal Justification
The current service delivery model is inconsistent for patients and therefore there is an opportunity to commission the service differently by expanding the existing community/ Palliative Care in Partnership (PCiP) Service run by Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to enable more co-ordinated / sustainable provision of care and better use of resources. The funding allocated to Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is to supplement and develop the existing service. The original contract value was £370,545,000 and the modification value is £3,100,000. Therefore the total contract value will be £373,645,000.
Other Information
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally modified.
