Description
Provision of a community-based shared care service for the administration and monitoring of denosumab 60mg/ml for osteoporosis. The service will support patients in Lambeth (or registered with a Lambeth GP) who have been identified by secondary care as clinically appropriate for treatment in the community. The Provider will deliver blood monitoring, prescribing support, and timely administration of injections in accordance with the South East London Shared Care Agreement, while clinical responsibility remains with secondary care.

2. II.2.4 Description of the procurement
This notice relates to the Lambeth Community Denosumab Service and is an intention to award a contract to the existing provider via Direct Award Process C. The service provides a community-based shared care pathway for patients prescribed denosumab 60mg/ml for the treatment of osteoporosis. Patients remain under the clinical responsibility of secondary care within South East London, in accordance with the South East London Shared Care Agreement for Denosumab. Secondary care will identify and refer a cohort of clinically appropriate patients for management in the community setting. The Provider will be responsible for delivering the community service, including required blood monitoring, prescribing support, and administration of denosumab injections at clinically appropriate intervals. The service is available to patients referred by secondary care who are registered with a GP in Lambeth or are Lambeth residents and who meet the eligibility criteria set out in the contract and Shared Care Agreement. The services under this contract are intended to be provided from 01 June 2026 for an initial term of 6 months, with the option for the Commissioner to extend the contract once by a further 6 months. Should the extension be exercised, the contract term may continue until 31 May 2027. This is a direct award with no competition under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) - Direct Award Process C. As such, no award criteria were applied. The contracting authority has determined that the existing provider will be awarded the contract on the basis that: The current provider is delivering the service to a satisfactory standard. There are no proposed changes to the existing contract terms. Continuity of care is essential for this patient cohort The provider continues to meet all relevant clinical, quality, and service requirements. The decision is made in accordance with PSR requirements for Direct Award Process C.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C. This contract is for Lambeth Community Denosumab Service. The services under this contract are intended to be provided from 01 June 2026 for an initial term of 6 months, with the option for the Commissioner to extend the contract once by a further 6 months. Should the extension be exercised, the contract term may continue until 31 May 2027. The total lifetime value of the contract, excluding VAT, is £49,140 This comprises: 6 months 1st June 2026- 30 November 2026 with an optional extension for a further 6 months until the 31st May 2027. During the standstill period, no formal review process was undertaken.
